Hey, guys!!!

I am SO excited about this post because I am finally doing another little giveaway!!! Last time it was a fun way to bring people to my blog and it also gave me a chance to share some of my favorite products directly with you, the people who make this all worthwhile!

Before I dive into the products that I will be giving away and how to win, I wanted to talk about a couple of things that made me so happy this week!! Anytime someone takes the time to share things that they liked or tried from my blog is honestly one of the most amazing things to me. This week that happened twice and I wanted to give a little shout out to the ladies that made my day!

Last week I posted about one of my new palettes, the Urban Decay Spectrum Palette, which has a beautiful rainbow of colors and range. You can read about that and see pictures here: Deadlifts, Kelley Purple Look, and a Rainbow Eyeshadow Palette. After that post, a  lovely lady named Vanesa went out and picked up the palette and tried it out for herself! I think she looks fantastic and here is what she posted:

Not sure what some of this stuff is and how to use it? That’s what I’m here for! Here’s a little bit about the products and why I chose them for this giveaway and also why I call them my favorite.

1. Nillionaire by ColourPop

If you haven’t seen the little video of this on my Facebook and Instagram, I suggest you check it out. This baby is super sparkly and definitely a show stopper! It may look familiar to some of you, as I wrote about it in my post “My Favorite Everyday Eyeshadow” because I use it ALL of the time!! It’s a metallic bronze with flecks of pink and gold glitter…and it is stunning. This looks great by itself or even layered above another color. I’ve gone through a few of these bad boys and am excited to give it to someone else to try!! (Retails for $5 at ColourPop) It applies best using your finger because of the texture, but it’s so simple and a great product!

2. Urban Decay’s Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Anti-Aging

This next product may also sound familiar to you, as I use it in pretty much every single makeup tutorial that I have posted about. It’s the very first step whenever I do my eyeshadow to keep things looking good and in place. I apply this using my finger and always set it with a cream or nude-colored shadow to make the rest of my eye makeup stay on all day. It sounds so simple, but it really does help with so much. This has a nude color, so when you put it on it definitely helps with color correction and blurs out imperfections, which for me is redness. This keeps your makeup crease-free all day (even if you use a cheap eyeshadow) and makes for a smoother overall application for your eyeshadow. It helps colors become more vibrant and the top selling point of this is how long it helps my shadows last on my lid. All day. This is seriously impressive. (It retails on Urban Decay for $24)

 

3. Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (.25fl oz)

I first purchased this product about a month before my wedding, so it holds a special little place in my heart. After watching one of my favorite YouTubers, Kandee Johnson, recommend it as her favorite, I had to try it out. I wore this on my wedding day and it definitely helped me with not having a makeup meltdown that day, despite the constant smiling and happy tears! This is what I like to put on before I apply my foundation as it also blurs out fine lines and pores. It helps you achieve a more even and flawless finish and also helps you to use less actual foundation, which I’ve noticed. I actually don’t use this every day, only in an attempt to stretch my dollar out, but love using it for when I want to look extra nice and know that I’ll be wearing my makeup for a long time. To apply this I just take a dime size and rub it into my face. I let it sit for a minute or two before applying my foundation. This is a fun one!
