In my never-ending quest to find my most loved body, hair, and makeup products I’ve struck some major gold lately with these current favorites of mine. I thought it was about time that I make another post about it since most of these things I have loved for months and months. They are tested by myself and also loved by myself. I am not sponsored in any way to talk about these products but just truly love them all! (Also one of my favorite things is on sale right now so the timing seemed perfect.)
So here we go…
My TOP 7 Current Favorite Beauty Products:
Urban Decay’s Electric Pressed Pigment Palette
I know that this baby isn’t anything new but ohhhh the colors…
AND IT’S ON SALE RIGHT NOW at: Urban Decay!! (It is normally priced at $49 but it currently $24! 8/28/16) Any time I was able to use this palette this summer, I did. I got it as a gift for my Birthday from my husband (Thanks Dan!) and it’s just SO fun!! The colors are super bright and pigmented. You only need the tiniest amount to make a full makeup look. I did my 4th of July look using it this year, my Harley Quinn look, and just about any bright makeup look I had, or party I went to, I wore this. I. LOVE. It. My first makeup look with it was this one for my Birthday:
I feel like this would be great for any 90’s party also. The pink is my favorite. It’s so bright!! Let me know if you have this already or if you end up getting it and love it as much as I do! 🙂
2. Clinique Sweet Pots Sugar Scrub and Lip Balm in “Sweet Rose”
This product was recommended to me by my friend (Thanks Andrea!) and I’ve officially hit the bottom of the pot with the tinted moisturizing lip balm I use it so much. Besides the cute and convenient packaging, the scrub works great and makes a fantastic base for when I use those super matte lipsticks. It also happens to taste great in case you end up getting some in your mouth (I mean, who doesn’t?!) and keeps your kisser super soft. My skin is super sensitive and I have trouble finding a balm or scrub that doesn’t break me out. This one is one of the only scrubs that has worked so far for me. I will be repurchasing when I finish it off!! You can find it at Sephora, Ulta, or at the Clinique website here: Clinique Sweet Pots
3. Pure Romance’s Body Dew After-Bath Oil Mist
You guys. I am OBSESSED with these body oil sprays. This one was my favorite scent and also the one I polished off first. I first heard about these at a Pure Romance Party in December and have been using them almost everyday since. Where do I start with what I love about them?! Well, they are a spray that now replaces my lotion because it helps my skin feel super silky and soft, and it goes on quickly. I’m all about that. It has essential oils in it that really help lock in the moisture. I use it right after my shower and let it sit for a bit because it does feel a little more oily than regular moisturizer, but halfway through the day you’ll be thankful for it. Also it’s infused with pheromones which give you that little boost of confidence and helps you feel more attractive. OH! And it definitely makes your tattoos look shiny and newer after you apply this which I love it most for. Did I mention that it is also good to put on after a sunburn to prevent peeling? Because it is. I’ve tested all of these claims myself and this thing is a little miracle worker for me and I’ll never know life without it.
Here’s my current collection:
Yep. In love.
4. Urban Decay’s Afterglow 8-hour Powder Highlighter in “Sin”
I know. I know. There are a MILLION highlighters out there and each of them do an amazing job, and I agree with that, but my personal fav as of late is this one. The packaging is what initially drew me toward this. I love the cute compact and the fishnet cutout that shows you what the highlighter looks like. Saucy! I bought this shade because I liked the champagne look of it for the warmer months, but will continue to keep using it throughout fall. I thought it was the perfect glow to wear everywhere. It doesn’t have big chunks of glitter but does help your skin look luminous and healthy. It’s really easy to blend and is just the perfect amount of glow for me. Although, the first week I got it I went a little overboard on the highlighter, but I don’t even care. It was a very shiny week…but it was still worth it. You can find this Sephora, Ulta, or on the Urban Decay website here: Urban Decay Afterglow Highlighter.
5. ColourPop’s Ultra Metallic Lip in “J.I.C”
Soooo this is one of the newer things that I’ve purchased and it’s just plain fun!! This is from ColourPop’s Ultra Metallic line and this particular shade is an ivory tone with pink and silver glitter. Though it does come off a little bronzy in the pictures you can see the pink shimmer when you put it on. It’s definitely non-drying but I did have to reapply it throughout the day that I wore it. I’ve never had anything like a metallic lip so I just loved the idea of it and think it’s just a fun new thing that kicks your makeup look up a notch!!! My cat Rocky even wanted to get in on the fun:
Plus these little things are only $6 a pop, so I say…why not?! You can find them here: ColourPop’s Ultra Metallic
6. Batiste Ella Henderson Dry Shampoo
(Pictured on the left)
For those of you that know me, you know that I swear by dry shampoo and can’t remember the dark days before I had it. It’s the biggest time saver in the world and gives my normally flat hair more volume. I have tried SO many different brands and find Batiste to be the holy grail of dry shampoos. I still love the cherry scent they have but this one is by far my absolute favorite. It’s has a “sweet & seductive” scent which is the major draw for me to it. It smells like all my favorite childhood candies put together. If you like sweet bakery scents, then this is for you. This is actually the 4th bottle I’ve purchased in a row and I hope they continue to keep selling this one because it’s the best. I’ll be honest, I don’t really know who Ella Henderson is, but she helped make some DANG good dry shampoo!!! I usually get this at Ulta when they are buy one get one half off AND use a coupon they normally supply. It can be found online here: Batiste Ella Henderson Dry Shampoo.
7. Kenra Professional Volume Spray 25
(Pictured above on right)
I still remember the first time that I experienced using this hairspray. My awesome hairstylist was using it on some soft curls she created and it actually smelled good!! I immediately asked her what it was and went out and bought some shortly after. You know how sometimes hairspray has that chemical smell and you don’t want to use it because it is overpowering? Not this is. It has a soft and sweet smell that doesn’t stick around for long, but the staying power is the best! I used to try to curl my hair all of the time and it would always fall out during the day and not hold well. After I started using this, I found that I can have curls for 2 days, it works so wonderfully! This doesn’t make my hair super crunchy and doesn’t flake at all like some others I have experienced it. In fact, it was the 2015 Stylist Choice Awards Winner for “Product You Can’t Live Without” and I completely agree!!! You can buy this at some salons or at Ulta here: Kenra Volume Spray.
That’s all folks!! I hope you liked some of my current favorites. Do you have any of the products featured above? Have a question on a listed product? Please feel free to either comment on this post or message me about it =) I know everyone is different and some of my products might not be your favorites so I’m always curious to hear about new things that work.
